Umbrella tent is defined as a small tent with a solo supporting pole
and radiating metal ribs. An umbrella tent is actually a tent with a
center pole that opens similarly to a umbrella. These tents are usually
seen as sun shelters and screen arbors. The umbrella structure of the

The material used in umrella tents stretches a little when it gets wet. Umbrella tents are mostly made of nylon or polyethylene, they are water-proof and UV resistant. The fabric of these tents undergoes special treatment in order to make them durable and long lasting, despite of the fact that they mostly stand under the sun. If the tent slightly sags when it is wet, one should not tighten it too much by stretching it with the support poles.
