Two-Season Tents Two-season tents, which are popularly known as summer tents, are designed with special emphasis on lightweight and proper ventilation.   • A good quality two season tent comes with an inner that is mostly or completely fabricated of net.
  • They should have a good ventilation system.
  • Since a summer tent is a hoop tent, there exists a pole, which supports it at each end, this requires staking down the tent but saves a lot of weight.
  • Look for the tent that comes with a waterproof fly typically dangling as a second layer over the tent body.
  • Prefer a two season made of light weight and coated fabric with fiberglass poles.
  • While making the buying decision one should be cautious so that he does not end up purchasing a cheap nylon tent which seem to have a permanently attached waterproof rain fly and no mesh.
  • Do not opt for a tent, which is water repellant, and not waterproof.
  • When purchasing 2 season tents, look for something, which is lightweight and precisely, designed for hot and humid weather.
