Tarpaulins



Tarpaulins A tarpaulin can be best described as a protective covering of waterproofed canvas. A tarpaulin or tarp is a large sheet of sturdy, strong, flexible, water resistant or waterproof cloth, which is often canvas coated with plastic or latex. The name of the tarpaulin comes from the fact that originally its waterproofing was done with tar. Tarps as they are popularly called are very versatile shelters and can also be used with a groundsheet in place of a tent.

A good quality tarpaulin is fabricated from tough, durable and long-lasting woven fabric, this fabric is laminated on both side with UV stabilized Plastic film.
