Disaster Relief Tents

Disaster Relief Tents Disaster Relief Tents can be defined as the general service tents, which are the easiest and quickest in making shift accommodations for the Relief sites. These relief tents have a spacious floor area and a height of approximately 7'4". It can have four or more doors for good ventilation. Most if the relief tents come with an option of door covers that can be pulled out to create a porch over the door openings. Interior of these tents can be divided with fabric to create private areas. Since these tents are meant for relief work at the time of calamities, special car is taken in the manufacturing process that the covering is not punctured or cut and the tent should not leak.

In most of the relief tents, an opening can be created where side-walls hit the ground for extra ventilation in hot weather. The covering's color reflects the sun's heat during the day and makes for a pleasingly bright interior during the night. The covering is made of a very multi-laminated fabric. It does not rot or mildew. It is ultra violet stabilized for a long life and fire-resistant for safety. The cover of the tent is entirely waterproof and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

The Construction
A relief tent is a self-supporting tension structure. There are no guy lines to set or get in the way. The covering of these tents is evenly supported to create a drum tight wind shedding shelter and the roof is steeply peaked to shed snow well. It sets up easily and quickly by one person. Its roof is made up of two layers, upper of water-repellent cotton canvas with lining of cotton sheeting or as per buyer's specifications and the walls are Pre-attached with the Tents.

The Poles
Poles of relief tents are relatively short and are entirely under compression making for a strong snow and wind shedding shelter. These poles are constructed of strong, long lasting and resilient tubing.

The Fabric
The materials used in the construction of these tents are chosen and combined to perform at optimum strength to cost. Most of the manufacturers use a minimal amount of material in its construction to achieve a maximum of sheltered space. These factors allow the price of these shelters to reach the maximum number of people in need. Relief Tents are labor efficient to build and light and compact enough for one person to easily carry to the site.
